Erotic Drawings
Why draw erotic subjects? I find sex fascinating, and I enjoy drawing the human body in various poses; it's good practice. Humans are at their most passionate when enjoying the pleasures of sex, so it's the most interesting subject for me to draw.
I think it's inaccurate to automatically label any and all depictions of sex as "dirty" or "pornography." Sex is how we all got here. It's also the best pleasure we enjoy in and of itself. Although it's a rather ordinary, common activity, it's also the most beautiful and passionate, in my view. Why not celebrate its variety, beauty, wildness, tenderness, and fun?
(For some, sex in their view should always be very private and sacred, special. Others are more open about sexuality. Each view is correct, I believe -- for them.)
I draw mostly lesbian sex not only because I find it especially erotic, but also very loving. Even as simply friends, women and girls seem to enjoy a natural closeness and intimacy men usually don't.
I don't draw these pictures to arouse myself. It just doesn't work, like trying to tickle myself. Just as you can enjoy a flower without picking it, or admire an attractive person without pursuing him or her, I think you can watch and appreciate others enjoy sex without doing it yourself -- though I don't have a problem with that; if you're inspired to enjoy better sex through seeing others creatively doing it, why is that so forbidden in our society and culture (and especially religions)? We certainly learn by watching others do many other things, like cooking, hobbies, sports. We're also a curious species, interested in sports, comedy, drama, political debates, etc. Why should viewing sex be looked down on as less respectable?EROTICISM
