Writing
Teach yourself almost anything is a practical article on my favorite way of learning.Cartooning Tips is a one page handout I've used when teaching cartooning classes. If you've never tried printing a PDF file, try it on this page. The print quality is surprisingly good (depending on the quality of your printer).
Poetry Tips gives some brief advice on writing poetry for pleasure and personal expression. I also include a few of my own simple poems.
Harlan Simantel Paints Irvington is a short article I wrote for publication.
How To Write Complaint Letters That Get Results is a short article I wrote for "The Dollar Stretcher."
Oaxaca Adventure recounts my trip to Mexico with NW Medical Teams.
Bubble and Fly is a published article from 1977. It tells how to enjoy fly fishing without casting a fly rod.
How To Fish Small, Remote Lakes For Brook Trout is a short, unpublished article.
How to get out of a creative funk -- and get going is a practical article about how I get out of the doldrums. It just might help you, too.
A Prayer And A Kick is a true story about a dramatic answer to prayer.
Lose Weight The Easy Way offers my simple plan for getting thinner and making your clothes fit.
Animations
